Sean Tarry had an excellent win with Secretary Bird at the Vaal on Thursday she is looking quite promising.
On Sunday it could be the chance of her full-brother Tintin, to keep up the family crest when he lines up in Race 9 on the Turffontein Standside track
Tarry has taken his time with the son of Rafeef but he came for a lengthy break to finish second in next two starts and then score a runaway 5.75-length victory over Quickfreeze in his last start.
The runner-up himself gace credence to that victory by running out a facile winner of his next start.
Teaming up with Craig Zackey once again, they stand out as the best bet on the nine-race card in this Middle Stakes over 1400m. He is not one of the best handicapped runners but he is probably a lot better than his merit rating suggests.
He will jump from barrier No 5 which is fine over this trip, despite the race starting almost on the turn.
A similar profile applies to Space Mission in Race 2 over 1160m. Well-related and consistent without winning, the Willow Magic gelding drops back sharply in trip after competing up to 1700m. First-time blinkers could be the catalyst, and with Zackey back aboard, this looks a calculated move by Tarry to strike while the conditions suit.
