Here’s another massive weekend for TAB soccer customers with Saturday’s Soccer 13 offering the chance to join the ranks of the multi-millionaires ahead of the forthcoming Festive Season. The bet has a guaranteed R43-million pot for all-13-correct entries and you can get a share of that cash mountain for just R2! There are also R200,000-added Soccer 10s and a R200,000 carryover Any Soccer 13 Xtra, in which Pirates fans have a ready-made banker in their team to beat Gallants in the Carling final.

BRIEF MATCH-BY-MATCH GUIDE TO BONANZA SOCCER 13

Let’s get straight into Saturday’s Soccer 13, which is the bet virtually every football fan will target. Six English Premiership and seven Championship clashes make up the bet and sheer gut feel rather than statistical analyses may be the best option in many of the games. Let’s take a quick look:

M1 Leeds United-Liverpool (Leeds win 10-3; draw 3-1; Liverpool win 10-11): Leeds ended a four-game losing streak with a home win over Chelsea midweek and many will reckon they can give the same medicine to misfiring Liverpool, who were lucky to get a home draw against Sunderland.

M2 Bournemouth-Chelsea (47-20; 14-5; 6-5): Chelsea will look to bounce back, but Bournemouth will be even hungrier after four defeats and a draw in their last five EPL games.

M3 Man City-Sunderland (2-7; 11-2; 11-1): City’s chances look overstated in the betting. They nearly let a 5-1 lead slip against Fulham, whereas Sunderland have held Liverpool and Arsenal to draws and beaten Chelsea away.

M4 Tottenham-Brentford (11-8; 5-2; 9-4): Spurs are like a Christmas cracker, you never quite know what you are going to get. But they might be worth gambling on here against their tricky London neighbours who are more formidable at home.

M5 Everton-Notts Forest (5-4; 23-10; 27-10): Everton bounced back strongly after the Newcastle shocker and may edge this against Notts who are nearly back to best under Sean Dyche.

M6 Newcastle-Burnley (3-10; 5-1; 11-1): Burnley manager Scott Parker is looking a great bet at 5-1 to be the next EPL manager fired after five consecutive defeats and he’s unlikely to get any relief at St James’ Park at Newcastle on Tyne.

M7 Bristol City-Millwall (6-5; 12-5; 11-4): Now it gets tougher. Millwall are flying high in third in the Championship but they are better at home and that may give City an edge.

M8 Ipswich Town-Coventry (1.34-1; 13-5; 43-20): Frank Lampard’s log-leaders Coventry are looking so slick with nine wins from their last 10 league games and their odds in this game look off beam against a team still trying to find top gear.

M9 Preston NE-Wrexham (1.48-1; 11-5; 11-5): Tough. Preston are having a fab season, but Wrexham are the only team to have beaten Coventry in recent weeks and they held Blackburn to a draw whereas Preston lost.

M10 QPR-West Brom (6-4; 9-4; 21-10): Level on points and any result possible, but West Brom gave Coventry a torrid time and could win this.

M11 Sheffield United-Stoke (1.14-1; 12-5; 27-10): Stoke (fourth) play 19th-placed United, but don’t judge this book by its cover. United have suddenly clicked after losing to Coventry, delivering a draw followed by three straight wins.

M12 Southampton-Birmingham (1.34-1; 5-2; 11-5): Two stories gone wrong. Both began the season with high hopes of promotion to the EPL and now find themselves in 14th and eighth respectively, separated by four points. Southampton slightly preferred.

M13 Swansea-Oxford United (11-10; 12-5; 16-5): Both just above the relegation zone and anything possible. But you need to be brave to back Swansea to win after five straight defeats!

PIRATES BANG ON TRACK FOR ANOTHER CUP TRIUMPH

At home all eyes tomorrow will be on the Carling Knockout final in Polokwane, where Pirates meet Marumo Gallants with the Buccaneers favourites to win their second trophy of the season.

Pirates are now two points clear of Sundowns at the top of the Betway Premiership and have a game in hand after the reigning champs could only draw with Siwelele midweek. Pirates are on a 16-match unbeaten run in domestic competition this season with Gallants the last side to beat them back in August.

That win will give Gallants confidence they can stage an upset in a repeat of last year when then PSL rookies Magesi shocked Sundowns. But lightning don’t often strike twice in the same place and Pirates should win. The game is M10 in Saturday’s R200,000-added Soccer 10 bet and is also included in the R200,000 carryover Soccer Any 13 Xtra.

Chiefs are away to TS Galaxy on Sunday and that’s the last PSL fixture until 20 January next year. The Africa Cup of Nations kicks off on 21 December and only ends on 18 January, a tournament that is going to impact many clubs in Europe and the UK to differing degrees as a host of players go absent for weeks.
