TAB WEEKEND SOCCER HIGHLIGHTS: 21 - 23 November 2025

November 2025

FOUR CASH-BOOSTED POOLS AND A BUMPER SOCCER 13

The international break is over and TAB soccer bets are once again loaded with top-drawer club matches this weekend when there are opportunities aplenty to score big, notably four cash-boosted pools and a guaranteed R18-million Soccer 13 Jackpot on Saturday in the event of only one outright winner.

SUNDOWNS TO MAKE WINNING START IN ACL GROUP STAGE

Saturday’s first Soccer 10 is the pick of the weekend pools. The pool starts with a R125,000 cash add-in from TAB and comprises an alluring combination of matches spanning African Champions League (ACL), the PSL, the English Premier League (EPL) and LaLiga and Serie A.

The ACL clash sees PSL champs Sundowns pitted against DRC outfit St Eloi Lupopo at Loftus Versfeld in their first group-stage match. There’s no doubt Lupopo can play because they have already knocked Pirates out of this season’s tournament, but on home soil in front of their fans expect Sundowns to be too strong for the Congolese.

The two PSL and four EPL games are more challenging and there’s no doubt that is a bet that could pay big. Bournemouth are 7-10 favourites to win at home against West Ham, who are eight points behind their rivals in the league table, but it may not be as straightforward as the betting suggests.

WEST HAM CAN CAUSE PROBLEMS AT BOURNEMOUTH

Bournemouth hit a bump in the road before the international break and were played off the park twice in succession by first Manchester City and then Aston Villa. Admittedly, those games were away from home, but West Ham are beginning to gather confidence under new boss Nuno Espirito Santo and have looked more organised and energetic in winning their last two.

Crystal Palace to win away at Wolves and Fulham to take three points at home against Sunderland look more appealing banker options.

Sunday’s TAB soccer pools also contain a host of entertaining clashes. Stellenbosch take on Congolese side AS Otoho at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in the opening match of their Group C campaign in the CAF Confederation Cup. The game has been moved outside their home province due to the unavailability of the Cape Town Stadium, which makes it more difficult for Stellenbosch.

Kaizer Chiefs are away at Al Masry of Egypt on Sunday in their Confederation Cup group game. Chiefs are on the upgrade but this long away trip to Egypt will be tough and it will be no surprise to see them lose to l Masry.

NORTH LONDON DERBY IS THE GAME OF THE DAY

The game of the day is the North London derby between EPL log-leaders Arsenal and arch-rivals Spurs. There’s no love lost between these two clubs and it’s likely to be a bruising and entertaining contest that Arsenal should win despite a growing injury list. Key central defender Gabriel is their latest casualty after he picked up an injury on international duty with Brazil.

There’s no shortage of replacements though and Arsenal should come away with maximum points against an inconsistent Spurs outfit that has only managed two wins at the Emirates in their last 23 visits.
