TAB WEEKEND SOCCER HIGHLIGHTS: 17 - 19 October 2025
EXHILIRATING WEEKEND AHEAD AS CLUB SOCCER RESUMES
Read moreBig-gun club soccer is back after the international break and TAB football customers are in for an exhilarating weekend with carryover and cash-added pools Friday through Sunday. And excitement is mounting over the likely R100-million Soccer 13 pool next Saturday 25 October.
For many the plum match of the weekend comes at Anfield on Sunday, when Liverpool square up to Manchester United in what is virtually always a ferocious contest between two giants of English football. What’s not so normal is that Liverpool are overwhelming favourites at 8-13 with the draw 18-5 and United at 4-1 and better to win.
The match is included in all TAB’s different soccer bets, including Sunday’s R1.4-million carryover Soccer 13 that is set to total R6 million. This is a weekend packed with opportunities for football fans to win big with added-cash Soccer 6 and 10 pools, a carryover Soccer Any 13 Xtra and a guaranteed R18-million jackpot in the event of a single outright Soccer 13 winner on Saturday.
The Anfield clash is a good chance for Arne Slot’s side to put a run of three successive defeats behind them. They currently trail English Premier League log-leaders Arsenal by just a point and are five points clear of Manchester United, who are in 10th slot with three victories and three defeats in their opening seven games of the league season.
This is the same inconsistency that plagued United last season under Ruben Amorim, who is looking for consecutive EPL victories for the first time since taking charge at Old Trafford.
Liverpool’s new signings have not yet gelled, but on home turf the hosts look a banker bet to win in your TAB soccer bets.
Arsenal have a tricky London derby assignment on Saturday away at Fulham, where they have not won over the last two seasons. A trip to Craven Cottage is always a potential banana peel and Fulham are unbeaten at home this season and boast victories over Leeds United and Brentford.
Nottingham Forest kick off the weekend’s EPL programme with Saturday’s lunchtime clash at home to Chelsea. Forest coach Ange Postecoglou is under huge pressure after five defeats in seven games in charge and predictions are rife that he will be sacked if they lose to Chelsea with by ex-Burnley boss Sean Dyche taking over.
Bournemouth and Crystal Palace continue to exceed expectations and square off in an intriguing clash this weekend that Palace are fancied to win. The game is included in Saturday’s R150,000-added Soccer 10 that should generate a total pool of nearly R2 million as a result of the bonus cash from TAB.
In LaLiga, Real Madrid have won seven of eight league matches this season with a draw in the other. They have a two-point lead over Barcelona at the top of the table but face a tricky game away at Getafe on Sunday in M7 of the carryover Soccer 13.
On the home front both Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates go to Lubumbashi in the Democratic Republic of Congo for second-round games in African club competitions at the weekend.
In what will be a first for both in their long history, they will be heading outside of the country for the first time together on the same weekend, playing their first-leg ties away at the TP Mazembe Stadium.
Pirates take on St Eloi Lupopo in the African Champions League on Sunday and should win, as should Chiefs who play on Saturday against AS Simba in the Confederation Cup. That clash kicks off the day’s cash-boosted Soccer 10.
Play a Soccer 13 with TAB next Saturday 25 October and get your chance to win a mountain of cash in a guaranteed R62-million pool.
It’s set to be one of the biggest, if not the biggest, soccer pool in history because the excitement generated by the R62-million guarantee will spark a betting spree that will most likely result in a total pool of well over R100 million!
A Soccer 13 comprises 13 football matches and is easy to play. Just forecast the outcome of each game choosing from three options:
1 = Team A (usually the home team) to win
2 = Draw
3 = Team B to win
You can play a single entry (one choice in each match) or a multiple entry in which you can include one or more result options in one or more of the games. The cost of a single entry is R2 and a multiple entry is R2 per line. It’s easy to calculate the cost of a multiple entry - simply multiply out the number of result options selected in each game and the multiply by two to get the cost.
Here’s an example. Say you select one result option in 10 games and two result options in each of the other three. That gives eight lines (2 x 2 x 2 x 1 throughout) and each line costs R2, so total cost is 8 x R2 = R16.
Soccer 13 has created many instant millionaires down the years so don’t miss your chance to become an instant multi-millionaire on 25 October.
