February 2026

TAB ADDS OVER R600,000 IN CASH TO FIVE POOLS

Another tumultuous week in football and another bumper weekend ahead for TAB soccer customers with cash injections totalling over R600,000 into five bets and a guaranteed R17.5-million jackpot if there’s only one winner of Saturday’s Soccer 13. Add to that an exciting assortment of top games in TAB’s range of soccer bets, including FA Cup clashes and do-or-die games for Kaizer Chiefs and Sundowns, and it’s a great time to aim to score big with a TAB soccer bet.

THREE MANAGERS GET THE BOOT IN A FEW DAYS

Three more high-profile managers have already been sacked this week. Former Brighton manager Roberto de Zerbi was the first to get the boot. One moment he was a hero at French Ligue 1 outfit Marseilles, but that went up in smoke after they were knocked out of Champions League and then lost 5-0 to PSG last Sunday.

Bye-bye de Zerbi come Tuesday evening and the same night Thomas Frank got told to go by Spurs after a 2-1 home defeat against Newcastle left the London club languishing perilously near the relegation zone in the English Premier League.

The biggest shock came yesterday when avoid-relegation master Sean Dyche got the axe at Nottingham Forest in the wake of a 0-0 draw against Wolves on Wednesday night. Dyche is the third manager sacked by club owner “Vangelis” Marinakis this season, a decision that could see Forest playing Championship football next season.

And then EPL log-leaders Arsenal could only draw with Brentford in last night’s London derby and are now only four points ahead of Manchester City with 12 games remaining.

CRUNCH GAMES FOR CHIEFS AND SUNDOWNS

Anyway back to the soccer this weekend when Chiefs and Sundowns face crunch games in African club competitions. Chiefs top their group in the Confederation Cup, but are in a dangerous situation despite having 10 points from five matches. They are away in Cairo on Saturday against Zamalek, one of the most successful clubs in the history of the African game - and if they are beaten could well be knocked out on goal difference.

A draw will be enough for them to go through and they have a solid defence with four clean sheets in their last six matches. But they squander too many chances in front of goal and that could cost them dearly tomorrow.

Sundowns also play on Saturday and are at home to former coach Rulani Mokwena’s MC Alger. It’s a must-win for Sundowns who will be eliminated if they do not get all three points.

The Sundowns and Chiefs’ games are included in Saturday’s R200,000-added Soccer 10 pool, which also includes an array of delightful games from the top leagues, notably the PSL, Serie A in Italy and Spain’s LaLiga.

Top banker bets include Pirates to win at home against Marumo Gallants and Como should do the same in a Serie A clash with Fiorentina.

FA CUP CLASH LOOKS TOP GAME IN TONIGHT’S SOCCER 10

There’s also a R200,000-added Soccer 10 pool this Friday night in which the pick of the games is the FA Cup encounter between Championship sides Wrexham and Ipswich.

They have already clashed once this season and that was in November last year, when Ipswich were at home and were held to a scoreless draw by Wrexham. That outcome suggests Wrexham may have the edge here, but most likely result after 90 minutes is probably a draw because they do look evenly matched.

Banker bets for this likely R2-million pool are away victories for Chelsea in the FA Cup and AC Milan who travel to Pisa for a Serie A game.
