The R6-million Betway Summer is just five days away and punters need to start studying form for the meeting which comprises 11 races.
TAB betting opens on Monday so racing fans will be able to get their bets on nice and early without having to stand in long last-minute queues.
There are many exciting bets for the public to consider as well as two fabulous carryovers. Starting off with the Pick 6, there will be R2 million kicking off this bet, which begins in Race 4 at 13.08, and the pool is anticipated to reach R7 million.
There is also a Quartet carryover of R1 million to the Grade 1 Betway Summer Cup over 2000m with the pool likely to reach R3 million.
There is a full field of 20 runners so this is a bet where the payout could be voluminous.
There are also three Jackpots at the meeting, Races 1 to 4, Races 5 to 8 and Races 8 to 11.
There are also two BiPots, Races 2 to 7 and Races 6 to 11.
One of the highlights of this year’s race is that jockey Muzi Yeni, who sadly is unable to defend the title he won last year aboard Royal Victory due to an injury on Charity Mile Day, has prepared an analysis of the Pick 6 races with a suggested permutation for Computaform.
