# South African Premier League Preview | Saturday, 1 November

##### October 2025

**Sundowns–Pirates Headline a Big Day for Local Football**

Saturday’s DStv Premiership schedule is highlighted by a massive clash at Loftus — **Mamelodi Sundowns vs Orlando Pirates (15:30)**. It’s South Africa’s headline rivalry between two giants built on history, trophies, and fan pride. Sundowns sit top and unbeaten, but Pirates have rediscovered rhythm after four wins in five. Expect a cagey start and tactical battle; form points to **Sundowns**, but motivation makes **Pirates** a live upset pick.

Elsewhere, **Orbit College vs Magesi FC** promises an entertaining lower-table meeting. Magesi’s recent consistency gives them the edge, but Orbit’s home resilience makes this less than clear-cut.

At **18:00**, **Polokwane City vs Richards Bay** brings together two sides fighting to climb the mid-table pack. Both rely on counter-attacking football, though Polokwane’s home form makes them slight favourites.

The evening closes with **Chippa United vs AmaZulu (20:15)**. AmaZulu’s strong defensive record and quick wide play should test Chippa, who often struggle to finish chances.

**💡 Key Picks:**

- Mamelodi Sundowns ⚔️ (Banker, but Pirates threat live)
- Magesi FC ✅
- Polokwane City ✅
- AmaZulu FC ✅

All matches live from **15:30**, with the **Soccer 10 pool closing at 7 PM** — get your entries in early.
