Soldiers Star can get off the mark in the 10 Years At Chelmsford City Racecourse Restricted Maiden Stakes.

The three-year-old colt, a son of Soldier's Call, made his debut in November when contesting a 1200m Newcastle novice and missed out by just a head as the runner-up.

His next outing was to Wolverhampton to step up to 1400m, where he was third when beaten a length under Rossa Ryan.

He steps back down to a 1200m trip at Chelmsford and with a capable rider on board in Joe Leavy and those two runs under his belt he can get his head in front for the first time.
