Sharapova, who is by Querari, has run twice for two seconds, but she appears to be her own worst enemy as she has tended hang in her two races. Both of those runs were over 1400m around the turn, the first on a right-handed turn at Turffontein and the second on a left-handed turn at Kenilworth.
She will be racing over 1200m this time which is up the straight and hopefully this time she will be able to keep running in a reasonably straight line.

Aldo Domeyer and Candice Bass-Robinson, the winning Cape Guineas jockey-trainer combination, should have the last laugh by taking out Race 8, a Classified Stakes over 1200m, with Charlie Malone.
He was a fast-finishing second over the course and distance last time and Domeyer should be able to get him going a little earlier this time.
