Race-by-Race Previews

Race 1: Woodfire Bro video replay showed last run was very good. Our Creed showed good speed to lead last start and gave a good sight, he can do the same here and make all. Yes We Can finished powerfully with fastest sectional time ranking last start and is a chance to finish strongly into the money. Toycoon was a winner three starts ago and appears well placed here under the apprentice claim. Righteous Doctrine has a better chance on this surface and look for improvement.

Race 2: Lucky Victor go on the win two starts ago and give a chance here. He is well place to make all in the running under the apprentice claim. Run Run Good has ability and should not be underestimated in this grade, drawn well to map well. Run Des Run can improve second-up from a break. Pakistan Zindabad ran the second fastest sectional time last start and gets Purton in the saddle, but the wide draw is the concern. London Luckystar change of trainer recently and can improve, can surprise at odds.

Race 3: California Spangle highly promising horse who showed a ton of ability last season and is one of the most exciting horses on the up in Hong Kong. He looks hard to run down in the small field. Cheerful Days the lightweight will help and he could test the favourite in a race such as this. Healthy Happy has early speed and can always surprise with the right run and he trialled well for his return. Duke Wai last start placing was full of merit, nice effort. Mighty Giant has not won for a long time but might surprise in the small field.

Race 4: Lucky Archangel back into Class 4 and gets the aid of Chung’s 5kg claim from barrier 1, where he has what it takes to lead all the way. Science Patch looks overdue for a win and enters this race in good form and maps well to suit his chances. Fun N Glory fresh up from a break and should run well for Purton. Turbo Power caught the eye last start when running home well and appears to be improving. Double Show every chance last start but still ran a good race and looks a chance first-up from the good draw.

Race 5: Stunning Impact narrowly beaten last start and goes close here stepping away from a low draw. Happy Daily had genuine excuses last start when badly held up at a crucial stage in the race. The Hulk last run suggested a win was very near and he will get every chance under the 5kg claim. Circuit Mighty recent runs have been encouraging and can run well. Royal Campbell showed good speed to lead last start and gave a good sight and he can do the same here from barrier 4.

Race 6: Summit Cheers a two-time winner that is well placed here under Chung’s 5kg claim, and barrier 14 for the straight course. Flying Season has a better chance on this track and should run well off the back of a nice trial. Metro Warrior had excuses last start when racing wide without cover, he can improve back to the straight course under Purton. Adios remains a maiden galloper but clearly gets a chance to win here after showing ability last term. Super Axiom should begin fast and will be trying to lead all the way but barrier 1 is not ideal.

Race 7: Youthful Deal easy trial win recently and looks well placed to score first-up at his third career start. Super Sunny Sing holding form with recent good trial and looks well leading into his first-up run after winning impressively second-up. King Of The Court change of trainer recently and can improve and might be able to surprise at odds. Brave Dreams good performance when storming home for a nice second last start and is a chance to do the same here. Good Buddy consistent performer of late and worth considering, but barrier 11 is the query.

Race 8: A wide-open race but Encountered is in good form and has drawn well in four to map a winning chance. Powerful Wings has been knocking on the door and win won’t surprise anyone if he gets a good run from out wide. Looking Great an on-pace runner who could finish in the placings if they don’t overcook it in the early stages. Looking Cool comes from leading stable and goes close here on best form. Hit The Shot resuming from a break and won a recent trial. If he can get a good run, he appears ready for improvement.

Race 9: Copartner Ambition can upset some more fancied rivals on best form and he enters this race off an impressive barrier trial, suggesting he’s raring to go first-up. Tuchel nice 4yo with a good chance here after showing plenty of ability last term. Never Too Soon showed no interest last start, forget the run and expect big improvement from barrier 1. Captain Win ran the third fastest sectional time last start. A Pal newcomer who trialled okay and can run well first-up.

Race 10: The toughest race of the day with plenty of talent on show. Ima Single Man resuming from a break and won a recent trial in good fashion, he gets his chance on-pace. Be Ready nice horse who is a model of consistency and who also trialled well to suggest a big run can be expected. Fantastic Treasure has shown ability and gets his chance to win here if he can run up to prior good form. Winner Method showed good speed to lead last start and gave a good sight and race fitness is on his side here. Navas Two talented galloper who is resuming from a break, but 1400m seems to be his best go.
