Several TAB payouts on Abu Dhabi 8 December corrected

A comprehensive investigation into TAB payouts on the Abu Dhabi race meeting on 8 December 2022 has revealed several incorrect dividends arising from a technical glitch in communications emanating from the host tote to other tote systems participating in the commingled pools on the meeting.

Apparent discrepancies noted by TAB operations and TAB customers at the time were queried with the host tote, but this cursory initial investigation indicated that payouts were correct.

After these discrepancies were confirmed, TAB instituted an investigation into the payouts and did not participate in the commingled pools for the Abu Dhabi meeting on 15 December 2022, instead operating stand-alone local pools. The technical glitch was repaired before the Abu Dhabi meeting on 22 December 2022.

Corrected Trifecta, Quartet, Pick 3 and Jackpot payouts for the 8 December 2022 meeting have been declared and account balances of accountholders negatively impacted will be automatically credited with the correct amounts. Corrected payouts will also be displayed in TABs together with details of how retail customers can lodge claims for short-paid winning bets.
