Say yes to Saytarr at Lingfield

Saytarr can get off the mark at the ninth time of asking in the attheraces.com/marketmovers Handicap at Lingfield on Tuesday.

While Charlie Fellowes' runner has yet to get his head in front, his five podium efforts to date suggest the necessary ability is there to score in this kind of company.

The three-year-old has proved equally as capable on turf and all-weather, going down by just a neck at Ffos Las last year and being beaten the same distance when last seen at Kempton a week ago.

He was possibly slightly unlucky to bump into a better-treated rival that day but his narrow defeat shows his current mark of 66 to be competitive.

Galileo Charm made an encouraging start to her career when second on debut at Kempton earlier in the month.

Related to the useful One Nation, Galileo Charm raced a bit keenly at the first attempt and while she was in front at one point, she was caught by Miss Pretty who proved a length too good.

A repeat of that form could be good enough in the Download The At The Races App EBF Restricted Maiden Fillies' Stakes.

Speeding Bullet has hit a bit of consistency of late and can make full use of his current decent form in the Ripon Yorkshire's Garden Racecourse Handicap at Ripon.

Trained by Richard Hannon last term, Speeding Bullet was bought for just 11,000 guineas in the autumn and Paul Midgley has seemingly found the key to the four-year-old by dropping back to sprint distances.

Having raced at up to 1600m for Hannon, the Inns Of Court gelding triumphed off a mark of 67 when dropped to 1200m at Pontefract and has finished fourth and a narrow second in two subsequent runs.

He did not help himself on the latter occasion at Southwell as he hung across the track at the finish, but Speeding Bullet is clearly in excellent heart and can run well again.

Moving into handicap company helped Straight Ahead post his best effort to date last time out.

After three starts in conditions and novice company, Straight Ahead's best result had been a fifth place but his nursery debut proved a much more suitable task as he went down by 2.5-lengths at Musselburgh.

He did not help himself by hanging across the track that day though, so the result can be upgraded slightly and if he can live up to his name in the 21 Engineer Regiment Sapper Nursery Handicap, he might take some beating.

Trainer Craig Lister could also be on the scoresheet with the consistent Triple Force in the opening Thank You Joan Easey Apprentice Handicap.

The four-year-old finds himself 11lb higher than when winning impressively at Nottingham earlier this summer but has continued to perform with credit as his racing has crept upwards.

Second the last twice, he is sure to be thereabouts once again and could reward his followers once again. - Press Association
