Quadrillion adds up at Leicester

Ireland's champion jockey Colin Keane travels to Leicester on Sunday and Quadrillion can make it worth his while.

The Juddmonte-owned and Harry Charlton-trained youngster is beautifully bred as a daughter Kingman out of the Fillies' Mile winner Quadrilateral.

Her pedigree is Juddmonte through and through, with Quadrilateral sired by Frankel, so hopes will be high she can gain black type at some stage.

She made a perfectly respectable debut at Newmarket last month when just lacking the experience to go through with her effort, beaten by two fillies who had the benefit of a previous run.

Quadrillion can be expected to take a leap forward for that outing and she should be incredibly hard to beat in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Novice Stakes.

Keane also teams up with Ian Williams for a couple of mounts and they look worthy of consideration also.

Naughty Niall has been in great form of late, hitting the frame in his last three races and winning on the most recent of them.

He wears first-time cheekpieces in the Red Lion Burbage Handicap and is only 2lb higher for his Yarmouth win.

Williams' veteran Haliphon is a little harder to fancy but now looks dangerously well-treated on his old form in the Walker & Son Family Fun Day Handicap.

There is competitive racing at Haydock for the latest fixture in the Sky Bet Sunday Series where Sir Mark Prescott can continue his good recent form.

He has unusually struck with a couple of very promising younger horses in the last few days with Moon Target and Petula, but String Of Pearls is one with a much more recognisable profile in the Sky Bet Club Handicap.

Unplaced in three runs last year at up to 1600m, the latter behind Falakeyah, she was beaten on her handicap debut over 2000m and dropped to a mark of 69.

Upped to 2400m, she won easily at Goodwood and followed up at Yarmouth off 4lb higher and over 400m further. Raised another 5lb, she steps up to 3200m this time and that is likely to bring out even more improvement.

Stablemate Born Ruler is another worth a second look in the Enter ITV7 For Free Apprentice Handicap.

He is without a win in four runs this season but is dropping back to close to his last winning mark and Poppy Scott takes off a decent 5lb too.

Tom Clover's Sea Cookie went close on debut at Newbury and unless there is anything out of the ordinary lurking in the Free Betting At freebetting.co.uk EBF Maiden Stakes at Wolverhampton, he should go one better. - Press Association
