4Racing hereby informs all stakeholders, as well as the public, that the Vaal race meeting scheduled for Tuesday 4 October has been moved from the Vaal Main Track to the Vaal Classic Track.
Although every effort was made to get the Vaal Main Track ready for Tuesday’s meeting, the track managers have unanimously agreed that the surface is not entirely ready to race on.
The decision was therefore made to race on the Vaal Classic Track, which is in excellent racing condition.
Apart from Tuesday’s meeting, the race meetings scheduled for Thursday 6 October and Thursday 13 October will also be moved to the Vaal Classic Track.
These changes will allow the 4Racing team to work on the Vaal Main Track for another 3 weeks before the meeting scheduled on 1 November.
This situation was brought about by the fact that the expected growth over the last couple of weeks has not been achieved.
It is expected that the Vaal Main Track will be race-ready come 1 November.
The change of track has also resulted in the following distance changes:
Tuesday 4 October:
Races 3, 4, and 8 will now be run over 1450m.
Races 1, 2, 5, 6, 7 remain as is.
Thursday 6 October:
Race 5 will be run over 1200m.
Race 8 will be run over 1450m.
Races 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7 will remain as is.
Thursday 13 October:
All distances remain as is.
Trainers have until 9am on Tuesday 4 October to scratch runners carded for Tuesday 4 October and Thursday 6 October meetings.
