With Hollywoodbets Scottsville having received close on 100mm of rain, the prognosis for racing there on Wednesday is extremely poor and Gold Circle has made the decision to abandon this meeting.
Instead, the race meeting which was scheduled for Hollywoodbets Greyville tomorrow Monday 23 May will be postponed to Wednesday 25 May. Close on 200mm of rain has fallen over the City track and there has been damage to the stable area and the jockey room which will need attention before racing can go ahead successfully and safely.
The race meeting originally scheduled for Wednesday 25 May will go ahead as planned under lights on Friday night 27 May, with the Daily News 2000 race meeting set to take place as scheduled on Saturday 28 May at Hollywoodbets Greyville.
In summary, racing goes ahead in KZN this week as follows:
Wednesday 25 May - Hollywoodbets Greyville Polytrack - postponed from Monday 23 May.
Friday Night 27 May - Hollywoodbets Greyville Polytrack - postponed from Wednesday 25 May.
Saturday 28th May - Hollywoodbets Greyville Turf Track - the Daily News 2000 race meeting.
