Dawnofanewday was a big hit with punters when justifying her role as banker over 1600m last time and Dean Kannemeyer’s charge takes her place in Race 6 on the Polytrack at Hollywoodbets Greyville on Monday, a MR 94 Handicap for fillies and mares over 1600m.
She can chalk up another win, despite her merit rating having gone up eight points and jumping from the widest berth of the eight runners. But if the Futura filly can repeat her last run she will be very hard to peg back.

S’manga Khumalo has firmly entrenched himself as one of South Africa’s outstanding jockeys. He is a past national champion jockey and has twice added the one that everybody wants on their CVs, the Durban July.
While he doesn’t have a full book of rides on Monday, he could get punters off to a winning start with Kittyboys Girl who should have a big chance of opening her account in Race 1, a Maiden Plate for fillies and mares over 1400m.
This filly had things go wrong and yet still took second place on her poly debut behind well-versed Zinikele. She was found to have been wounded on the left hind but one of the reasons she floundered in the latter stages, allowing the winner to get away, was that her rider lost the reins at around the 150m mark.
She will be super fit and this time she has to fetch Such A Cracker who was beaten by a moderate sort in her last start.
