Muzi to find his world at Durbanville

Hollywoodbets Durbanville stages its second meeting of the week on Saturday and Muzi Yeni has picked up eight rides for trainer Justin Snaith.

Yeni has been sitting out over the past week owing to a suspension but he is back in action and is hoping for a profitable day in the Cape.

Writing in his weekly column on Friday, Yeni commented: “I believe I have a decent book of rides at Durbanville, all for trainer Justin Snaith, and for those following both centres, I think my three best rides come up in Races 3 with USA Dancer, Race 4 with Music Of The Night and Race 6 with She’s My World. I am hoping to have a winner or two there.”

Possibly the best of that bunch best appears to be She’s My World in Race 6, the Non-Black Type Winter Country Championship 1000 Final, over 1000m.

Durbanville is a very tight track where it is hard to peg back front-runners, so low draws are like gold.

Of course, you also need speed, and She’s My World ticks both those boxes. The One World filly, who jumps from No 2 draw, has been costly to follow recently, but the drop back to 1000m should suit her, as that was the distance of her only win.

Yeni is hungry for winners as he will be hoping to establish an early lead over his rivals for this year’s Jockeys’ Championship, and this filly could prove a bit better than the rivals she meets on this occasion.
