Muzi and Pete for a Mexican Mile

Trainer Frank Robinson and owner Sid Moodley could be on their way to some notable silverware this season with their two talented runners, Sovereign State and Mexican Pete. Both unbeaten racehorses have been impressive and for confirmation of that quality, their form lines have been super strong.

On Monday trainer Frank Robinson will test Mexican Pete on the turf at Hollywoodbets Greyville with the Master Of My Fate colt looking to extend his winning run to three in Race 7, the Foresight Model Man Mile.

An athletic specimen with plenty speed and an effortless turn of foot he should have no problem with grass.

The Model Man Mile is one of three races to still be staged on the turf while Race 1 to 5 have been moved to the Polytrack. 

Mexican Pete easily reeled in experienced maiden Benni In The Area to win his debut and appeared to be well ahead of the average at that point. But in his second start, when being stretched over 1600m, he gave weight to Polytrack specialists, such as multiple winner Teichman, and a heavy beating.

Both Benni In The Area and Teichman franked that form by winning their next starts.

The field he meets at level weights Mile, however, are all highly rated by their connections, but none can boast a start like his.

Muzi Yeni rode him to victory on debut and he will be taking the ride once again.
