The 2023 Rugby World Cup has kicked off and TAB has 10 entertaining and exciting bets on the second round of group matches from this Thursday through Sunday, including two carryover pools.

8 TRY SCORERS AND 2 CARRYOVER POOLS

For the many rugby fans among the ranks of TAB customers, there’s a Try Scorer bet on each of the eight second-round group matches. France plays Uruguay tonight in the first of those games with the Try Scorer pool closing at the 21:00 kick-off. To win Try Scorer, you must predict the jersey numbers of the players who score the first and last tries for each team in the selected match.

There are 9 result options in each leg: 1 = Number 1 or 3 Jersey; 2 = Number 2 Jersey; 3 = Number 4 or 5 Jersey; 4 = Number 6, 7 or 8 Jersey; 5 = Number 9 or 10 Jersey; 6 = Number 11 or 14 Jersey; 7 = Number 12, 13 or 15 Jersey; 8 = Any Substitute; 9 = No Try Scored.

With Try Scorer you can select one or more options in each leg. The cost is R1 per combination or line, and you must spend at least R2. Tap Rugby on the navigation bar for all the pool details.

A carryover Rugby 8 Win Margin pool comprising the eight second-round games also closes at the France-Uruguay kick off. It’s set to be a sizeable pool, so be sure to play and opt into the TAB Rugby Star competition at the same time. The first round of the competition last week was a big hit with customers. “Ivy” won the main weekly prize of R500 and a Springbok jersey with seven out of eight correct selections, only going wrong in the England-Argentina clash. The grand-prize element based on the overall competition has now been amended with the top three punters each week progressing to a final stage, in which the quarter-final scores must be predicted.

There’s also a carryover Super 6 pool on the Springboks for their clash with Romania on Sunday. It’s a brand-new Bok team with Damian Willemse the only player in the line-up who started against Scotland last Sunday. He will play fly-half, and not full-back, in a match the experts are tipping the Boks to triumph by some 70 points. Super 6 is a grand bet comprising six legs - take a look!
