Marwing pair are looking hot

The Marwing family swoop on Hollywoodbets Greyville on Monday when racing takes place on the Polytrack.

Trainer Weiho Marwing has six runners at the meeting and all of them are carded to be ridden by nephew Wesley.

There is little doubt the Marwings will be hoping to bag a fistful of winners on a somewhat ordinary card but his best on the day appear to be Looking Hot in Race 1 and Time For Charity in Race 3.

Looking Hot runs in a MR 67 Handicap over 1000m. She earlier had Magicallee 0.80-lengths behind at level weights when an unlucky loser to Vision Of Will. She conceded a better gate to the winner and was beaten a short head. More importantly, Magicallee won her subsequent start with relevant ease and thereafter also finished 0.85-lengths behind Addiena when conceding 3.5kg.

Addiena has been priced up a weak favourite as she has been in hot form on the Polytrack this season but may battle to give Looking Hot 0.5kg and a beating.

Time For Charity tries the Polytrack for the first time. Her last run suggests she could be a natural on this surface. She was tried with blinkers and stayed in contention for much of the way before being outrun by the form choice at the Vaal.

While that field may not have been of the highest order, the field she meets in this Maiden Handicap over 1200m for fillies and mares looks decidedly weaker and she stands out.

She is the highest rated runner and does have advantage of jumping from draw No 1.

The only real threat looks to come from Miss Dora who has run three successive thirds on this course. Her last run was last Friday night when she finished 2.90 lengths behind Fortune Bay.
