Manana to come early on the Polytrack at Greyville

Once again, punters look set to make early money and Hasta Manana should start things off nicely for favourite followers. This William Longsword colt from the Gareth van Zyl yard boasts form fit for feature races and should be tough to beat in Race 1, a Maiden Juvenile Plate over 1500m.

He finished second to Chollima on debut and that horse has gone to run a game second in an ultra-competitive race where he gave away weight to the first and third finishers. Hasta Manana then faced a runner who looks to have star potential in Gimme A Prince next time out, and although beaten into second, ended up 4.10 lengths clear of the third-placed horse who also appears an up-and-coming sort.

Hasta Manana, to be ridden by Keagan de Melo, has been priced up at 7-10 but there could be better value with Neverending Love in Race 2, a Maiden Plate for fillies and mares over 1300m. She is overdue, has run well from bad draws and did a lot better than many males in her last two.

She does have to face some lesser experienced runners, including a few juveniles, but she should be good enough to open her account.

But Bella Siccome should have too much firepower for her elders in Race 3, a Maiden Plate for fillies and mares over 1400m. This two-year-old is by Silvano out of a Dynasty mare and she showed that quality in her third start when second behind more experienced Kailene. She had winners behind her in that event and should really be too strong for the field she will be meeting on this occasion.

Muzi Yeni and trainer Paul Matchett team up with Nina Amelia in Race 5. She has raced against stronger and from No 1 draw, could be great value if she takes to the Polytrack.
