The Alan Greeff stable and the Fairview punters will be ready to fight back at this Friday’s Turf meeting.

Last Friday was a rare winless day for the Greeff yard, and also a very tough day for the punters with not a single ticket surviving in the Pick Six.

Greeff has the arsenal to strike back this Friday and that can also help the regular Fairview punters to get back on track.

In most of the eight races Greeff should be in the mix but the standout is the improving five-year-old mare Official Secret (number 3) in race four.

She won her last start, also on the Turf over 2000m, in impressive fashion and looks ready to win again in a Pinnacle Stakes for fillies and mares.

Richard Fourie will be in the saddle again and will start the meeting one shy of 50 Fairview winners for the East Cape season.

This race is the first leg of the first Jackpot and Official Secret can get punters off to a good start. Medlers Tart (Sharon Kotzen) can be considered if you are looking to beat the favourite.

The first leg of the second Jackpot, race five at 15:05, is a Classified Stakes and looks much more competitive.

The first race is off at 12:45 and gets the Bipot underway. The strong favourite is the Gavin Smith-trained Silvonian but the Greeff first-timer My Best Shot is expected to run very well.

Race two at 13:20 is an Open Maiden for fillies and mares and the start of the Place Accumulator.

Punters will be hoping for better luck this time in the Pick Six which gets underway with the third race at 13:55.

Although Official Secret looks the best on the day, the Greeff stable is also very strong in race six with both the fillies Gideon’s Daughter and United Express trying to make it three wins in a row.

Warm Winter Nite (Cliffie Miller) and Graduation Time (Kotzen) are definite inclusions in the seventh race, a Classified Stakes over 1200m.

You Win Again (Greeff) and Global Goddess (Gavin Smith) are the key runners in the eighth and last race.
