Bettors are faced with an extremely competitive 10-race card at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth on Wednesday with a number of very large fields.
It could be a good day to play the exotics and the most attractive of TAB’s offerings on this occasion could be the Place Accumulator.
Even in this bet one would ideally look for at least one banker on the day and that is not an easy task.
However, Muzi Yeni could be the man to provide punters with the best bet on the card when he gets aboard Beer With The Boys in Race 8, a D Stakes over 1600m.
Yeni is having a wonderful week so far, and his last visit to Cape Town on Monday, he came away with three wins, three seconds, a third and a fourth place. All three wins were for Snaith Racing and he is back in the Cape today riding predominantly for the same stable.
His good run continued at the Vaal yesterday where he came away with another two wins so on this tricky card, it could pay to rely on Yeni and Snaith to provide punters with a banker.
Beer With The Boys has only run eight times for one win and three places, but he did begin racing as a late three-year-old and after two disastrous starts was gelded. That seemed to do the trick and since then this four-year-old gelding has been very consistent.
It is worth noting that his record over 1600m and Kenilworth is excellent, with a win and a 0.50-length behind Azzurri in his two runs over track and trip.
He also has the advantage of jumping from No 2 draw and as he likes to sit just off the pace, that barrier position is ideal.
He does have 64kg to carry but takes a drop in class and the opposition does not look too strong.
