Promising three-year-old Last Supper is poised to score a double when he returns to Kranji on Saturday in the $50,000 Class 4 Handicap over 1100m on the Polytrack.
With three wins and one placing from six starts, Last Supper returned to form last time out after failing to make an impression in the first two legs of the Three-Year-Old series. Despite enduring a wide trip on that occasion, the son of Grunt produced a sustainable burst in the straight, drawing away to win by 1.75 lengths over this track and distance.
This week Last Supper faces a similar level of competition as he remains in the same class. As a three-year- old, he has room for further improvement and looks bound for higher grades in the future.
Talented three-year-old Ravalli is primed to score a double in Race 7 over 1200m as he remains in Class 4. The son of Ilovethiscity defeated a similar field last time out, and with more upside to come, he can prove hard to beat again from pole position.
In Race 9, a small but competitive Class 3 field, where promising four-year-old Ejaz is aiming to go back-to-back with champion jockey Manoel Nunes remaining on board, after returning to his best last start.
However, it won’t be a walk-in-the-park for Ejaz. The main danger appears to be Pacific Vampire, who is highly suited by dropping to the minimum trip on the alternative racing surface, as his eye-catching statistics suggest. - iRACE magazine

SINGAPORE RACE ANALYSIS – 13 JUL 24
RACE 1
1st Pick: GREAT COMMAND (8)
Last start he had excuses in the straight and still came out on top defeating Golden Way. He is well suited under these race conditions and could back that last performance up this week with Pinheiro sticking aboard.
2nd Pick: PACIFIC SCOUT (7)
Should be in the betting this weekend. Will relish the Poly track surface and obtain a soft run from barrier three. Moor sticks aboard.
3rd Pick: ATLAS (2)
Just fell short last start when looking for three straights wins, should get some relief in the weights this week and could push across from barrier nine.
4th Pick: ROYAL COMMISSION (4)
Should strip fitter from last start when finishing behind Star Victory, Curatolo now takes the ride from an ideal draw. Could bounce back.
RACE 2
1st Pick: THUNDERSTORM (5)
Has been contesting against quality horses in lower grade such as Boardroom and Big Union in recent past. Should be respected in this field with Nunes riding again. Drawn well.
2nd Pick: GOOD CHILLI (4)
A few placing in his 26-start career here in Singapore and will return this weekend off the back of an impressive trial win. The stable is in good form and Pinheiro takes the ride.
3rd Pick: VOLCANIC (3)
Could see some betting support with Curatolo riding from an inside gate. Well breed. Okay last start.
4th Pick: CHOSEN (1)
Could surprise in this field. Doesn’t have a lot of form in Singapore and is one of the most inexperienced horses in this field but could improve from last start when behind Ravalli.
RACE 3
1st Pick: CHEERFUL BABY (1)
Racing so well, looking to make it four straight victories in class 5 and will be the hardest horse to beat. Last start he won impressively thanks to a great ride for Bernardo Pinheiro who retains the ride.
2nd Pick: THE WILD FIRE (6)
Was formerly raced as Song Of Nature before winning last start with plenty in hand. Draws well this weekend in barrier two and is well-weighted.
3rd Pick: MAY (5)
His last two runs have been good, could find a forward spot from barrier four and gets the in-form rider Daniel Moor in the saddle. Watch betting.
4th Pick: CIANGO (2)
Was disappointing last start when dropping down to class 5, completely forget that run and could bounce back in this grade at any time. Could surprise.
RACE 4
1st Pick: THE SHADOW (2)
Good win two starts back over 1200m on the all-weather Poly track. Daniel Moor now gets back aboard, should push forward from an outside gate and find a handy spot. Going well.
2nd Pick: BIG MAX (4)
Had his chance on multiple occasions, doesn’t find the best luck and continues to fall short. Espindola takes the ride. He should get a great run from a low draw. Could be in the mix.
3rd Pick: THUNDER STAR (6)
Has been improving off late. Much better performance most recently behind The Shadow. Key booking with Nunes taking the ride. Watch betting.
4th Pick: MR HOOPER (9)
Racing well and has been suited to the Poly track racing over the sprint distances. Kok now rides and could surprise again. Each-way play.
RACE 5
1st Pick: SUPER BABY (2)
Pinheiro takes the steer on this Jerome Tan trained runner after a solid run behind Great Warrior last start. That was on a yielding surface and should appreciate this surface.
2nd Pick: SUPER BOWL (4)
Has to overcome a wide draw but Nunes is the right pilot to do so. Looks well placed here from our leading stable and has since trialed up winning in nice time. Goes close.
3rd Pick: LIM'S BESTBREAKER (1)
Draws perfectly in barrier four to get a nice track into the race. Four of his seven wins have come at this surface and Lerner has been aboard two of those career wins. Watch for any late support.
4th Pick: RED DRAGON (5)
Well placed at class five level last weekend and won with plenty in hand. This race has probably come up too quick for him on the six-day turnaround but looked sharp winning.
RACE 6
1st Pick: RIVER DRAGON (8)
Still in maiden company in Singapore and has been getting close on multiple attempts. Should get every chance this weekend with Saifuddin in the saddle. Strong form lines in recent past. Okay in recent trial.
2nd Pick: MAZE (2)
Was good last start behind Lonhro Gold. He’s been knocking on the door for a little while now and should see support with Curatolo now riding. Drawn wide.
3rd Pick: ANGEL BABY (9)
Got into a minor placing last time around. Only a one-timer winner here in Singapore, now finds a weaker field this weekend. Could sneak into the first four.
4th Pick: BINGO MASTER (4)
Hasn’t been beaten far in recent past. Marc Lerner now rides from barrier four and could surprise. Should be around the finish. Had a recent trial which was average
RACE 7
1st Pick: RAVALLI (2)
Talented type who won with plenty of authority last start with Curatolo retaining the ride. Won a trial recently between starts and looks one of the best plays for the afternoon.
2nd Pick: PACIFIC HERO (1)
Can be met with support at times so watch for any pushes in betting late. Does his best racing on the Polytrack but if he gets a tempo to suit him he could be a roughie for the exotics.
3rd Pick: GOLDENFIELD (3)
This former Hong Kong trained galloper had just one start in Hong Kong before making his way here and was well beaten that day. Seems to look sharp in his recent trials. Connections have been successful in the past with former Hong Kong gallopers.
4th Pick: SHOW ALL SIXTY-ONE (9)
Never far away from the winners in his races and would not be surprised to see him finish closely here. Gets a leading jockey in the saddle and must be respected.
RACE 8
1st Pick: FORTUNE STAR (2)
Looking to make it three in a row for the Kuah stable. He is a genuine Polytrack middle distance galloper and should press forward from a wide barrier.
2nd Pick: A BETTER TOMORROW (1)
Headlines the ratings in this field and Lerner takes the steer. The stable is in great form and hasn’t missed a top four finish in three attempts at this course and distance.
3rd Pick: CENTURION (4)
Finished a strong second last outing beaten a neck to the winner. Comes into this a few weeks between runs and you can never write off this old gelding at this grade.
4th Pick: NINEONEONE (5)
Form has slumped in recent starts but if they go along at a decent gallop, he could potentially be the one to run on late and add some big prices to the quartet.
RACE 9
1st Pick: EJAZ (4)
Talented four-year-old who gets a gun draw in barrier two to make his presence felt early in the run. Nunes knows him well and looks the one they have to chase.
2nd Pick: BRANSOM (6)
Will need to be speedy from his wide draw and he certainly possesses great early toe to do that. Class three is the question but has plenty of ability to feature in this.
3rd Pick: ILLUSTRIOUS (3)
As usual he trialed up in nice time leading into this and will be looking to turn those two minor placings into a win. Just seems to be running into one or two a bit better than him on race day.
4th Pick: PACIFIC VAMPIRE (5)
Looks to be over racing in his last few starts so dropping back sharply in trip here. He looked like being a top sprinter a few starts back but give him another hope here.
RACE 10
1st Pick: LAST SUPPER (1)
The combination of Moor & Peters combines here on this rising four-year-old who won with good authority last start. Rises up in weight and hold your breath at the finish.
2nd Pick: SURREY HILLS (3)
Has bounced back to form in his last couple of starts finishing amongst the minor placings. Draws perfectly in barrier five to get a nice run up on the pace. Place forecast player.
3rd Pick: PACIFIC COMMANDER (7)
Finished in the placings where only one length separated six horses last start on the turf. He has a much better record on the synthetic surface.
4th Pick: LUCKY BABY (2)
Finished second to Bransom last start who looks a key player in race nine up in class so that’s a positive push for him. Second up after a break will see plenty of natural improvement.
