Kotzen-trained mare weighted to win again

Fairview host another Polytrack meeting on Friday and there are some competitive races for punters to deal with.

One needs bankers for all the exotic bets like the Pick 6 and BiPot and mare And We Danced should get us through in Race 3, a Conditions Plate for fillies and mares over 1600m which is the opening leg of the Pick 6.

Trainer Sharon Kotzen has done a tremendous job with the five-year-old and her eight wins have come in very quick fashion.

Only two of them have been on the Polytrack but her recent defeats against the boys were full of merit.

And We Danced had a tough draw to deal with when third and a long-head behind Narcos over 1400m in September and she followed that with a good fifth-place finish behind Gallic Tribe.

She has none of that quality of opposition this time and regular rider Louie Mxothwa is again aboard her.

It is interesting to see trainer Gareth van Zyl having a runner at Fairview so it is noteworthy to see his sprinter, Iron Bark, represents him in Race 7, the Glendore Sprint (Non-Black Type) over 1000m.

The five-year-old gelding is unbeaten in four starts this year and has won his last five on the Polytrack.

Blinkers made a huge difference to Iron Bark and he is clearly the one to beat and another possible Pick 6 banker.
