Kosac d'Oudairies looks likely for Lingfield

Kosac d'Oudairies can take the next step in his career when he lines up for the Free Race Replays On attheraces.com Novices' Hurdle at Lingfield on Tuesday.

The French-bred chestnut was an emphatic 11-length point-to-point winner in Ireland before joining Jamie Snowden's yard, from which he has been trained to two bumper successes from three runs.

The most recent of those triumphs was a 12-length rout at Ffos Las in February, and now returning to action to begin hurdling he potentially looks a force to be reckoned with.

On the same card Gatineau Park can take the Weatherbys & Birdie Calendars Maiden Hurdle for Kim Bailey and Mat Nicholls.

A handy point-to-pointer who won the latter of his three runs in Ireland by 10 lengths, the grey made his hurdling debut at Ffos Las last month when finishing fifth of 10 runners.

Inexperience over a different type of obstacle perhaps showed, but the potential is undimmed and with the winner, Starzand, well-regarded, there was perhaps a touch of depth to the race.

There ought to be plenty more to come and with a hurdles run under his belt now, Gatineau Park sets a decent standard.

Fairlawn Skipper can get his head in front for the first time over obstacles in the Top Tipsters At RacingTV Maiden Hurdle at Newcastle.

Mickey Bowen's five-year-old is a bumper winner who has taken up hurdling this autumn, running three times in maidens and most recently a handicap.

He brought home placed prize-money on each occasion but never troubled the winner, though his green jumping technique is an obvious area to target in search of more improvement.

The experience he has gained so far will be of value, and should things click he can rediscover the potential he displayed during his bumper career and move in the right direction over hurdles.

In the Results At racingtv.com Novices' Hurdle it is Nicky Richards' They're Chancers who can come out on top as he gets his hurdling career under way.

The Milan five-year-old is owned by Paul and Clare Rooney and is a half-brother to the Joseph O'Brien-trained Edwulf, a Grade One winner who took the Irish Gold Cup at the height of his success.

They're Chancers began his career in an Ayr bumper in January, a 3200m contest he won by an easy 3 lengths on soft ground.

He has not yet been seen since, but he has all the wherewithal on paper to make an impressive start to life as a hurdler.

In the Join RacingTV Now Handicap Chase it is Micky Hammond's Trac who can team up with Brian Hughes to take victory.

The eight-year-old started the term in good form, finishing second when only narrowly beaten over course and distance in late October.

He remains on the same mark, with the change in ground conditions from good to soft likely to be of benefit to him as he has ample form on deep going both here and in France. - Press Association
