However, he could have a Listed win at home on Friday, the meeting now moved to the Polytrack due to the weather, when King Prawn lines up in the Juvenile Champions Cup over 1400m. This Master Of My Fate colt has finished behind both Direct Hit and Anotherdanceforme, winner of the Grade 2 Golden Slipper at Hollywoodbets Greyville on Durban July day.

King Prawn gave the filly 1.5kg when beaten 3.25 lengths last time and based on breeding he will love the extra 200m this time. He gets a tongue tie for the first time and has Richard Fourie up.

On his current form he stands out as the best bet on the card.

There is also an opportunity for Gavin Smith to come away with an end-of-season winner with Gimme's Lassie, who should go close in Race 7, a Pinnacle Stakes for fillies and mares over 1200m on the turf track.

The five-year-old mare has already won three times for Smith and has been unlucky not to win more, having been touched off at the finish a couple of times. This course and distance suits her very well, and a change of jockey - Calvin Habib takes the reins - could spark another win.
