Keep the faith in Kajikia at Fontwell

January 2026

Kajikia is worth another chance in the tigerbet.co.uk Money Back Specials Handicap Hurdle at Fontwell on Sunday.

Winner of an Ascot bumper last term, he opened the current campaign with a victory on good ground at Plumpton in September, taking what was an average 4000m contest with a degree of ease.

That run inspired plenty of support on his second start and he was again sent off an odds-on favourite but came up well short dropped back 3200m, coming home a 24-length second behind Diamond Hunter.

Kajikia was up against it with a rival that is now rated 135 after a subsequent Grade Two success and back up in distance here, and with Jay Tidball taking off a handy 5lb, Paul Nicholls' charge might be able to resume his progression.

Limerick Lass hit the bar last term but can gain compensation in the Betting.Bet Best Betting Sites Mares' Novices' Hurdle.

Winner of a Chepstow bumper late last season, she was just headed in the final strides on her first attempt over obstacles, beaten a short head at Wincanton in December but a similar effort should be good enough here.

A sharper round of jumping would help Manigod's chances in the Betting.Bet Betting Site Novices' Hurdle.

He has finished second in each of two starts for Warren Greatrex so far, with hurdling errors costing him on both occasions, particularly last time when he did well to recover.

Em Four can make it a quick Chelmsford double in the Betfred Best Odds All Races Handicap.

A neck winner just over a week ago, Em Four's revised mark of 74 is still a little under his career high 77 in the summer.

Willie Mullins can take both of the graded prizes that are on offer at Punchestown.

Predators Gold lines up in the Grade Three Sky Bet Super Sub Novice Chase after making a winning return from 582 days off the track at Navan last month.

The seven-year-old was Grade One placed over hurdles and he showed a really likeable attitude as he posted a front-running victory on his chasing bow, fending off the challenge of Slade Steel after a fine round of jumping.

Sober lines up for the Closutton handler in the Sky Bet Moscow Flyer Novice Hurdle, having his first start since winning at Royal Ascot last June.

Previously trained by Andre Fabre in France, he was a dual Group Two winner on the level and made a decent start for Mullins when winning over hurdles at Killarney last May, although his jumping was not altogether perfect that day.

He followed up with a 5-length verdict in the Queen Alexandra Stakes at Ascot and his class should tell here, despite his jumping inexperience. - Press Association
