Kannemeyer has the strength in the Cape

Industrialstrength can finally get it right when he runs in Race 7, a B Stakes over 1600m at Hollywoodbets Durbanville on Saturday.

He came back from a rest two runs back and has finished as runner-up on both occasions. In both runs he was beaten 0.75 lengths but now having his third run after a layoff he can finally get back into the winners’ enclosure.

Industrialstrength is a lightly raced son of Gimmethegreenlight who has shown talent, but he has had issues including a vicious attempt to bite another rival in the run to the wire of one race. Recently gelded, he has made amends, winning his comeback race easily before running on well to finish second in those last two starts.

Trained by Dean Kannemeyer and to ridden by Craig Zackey, he is ideally drawn in gate No 2 and despite not being the best weighted runner, should be able to get the better of these rivals.
