Jack Milner: A number of talented runners will line-up for Race 7 at Kenilworth today, but it could be the duo trained by Brett Crawford who could fight this out.
The race is a Conditions Plate for fillies and mares over 1500m and based on merit ratings, Driving Miss Daisy is 3kg better off with any runner in is event. She has been rested since contesting the Grade 1 Paddock Stakes on 9 January and according to trainer Eric Sands, while the daughter of Master Of My Fate is well, he feels she will probably need the run.
Crawford saddles two runners – Sing Out Loud and Our Prized Jewel – and both have good enough form to win this.
Sing Out Loud contested both Grade 1 races for fillies and mares in January – the Paddock Stakes over 1800m and the Majorca Stakes over 1600m – and finished fifth in both. She then started favourite for the Listed Jet Master Stakes over 1600m and finished a 1.25-length fourth behind Doublemint.

However, the value could lie with stablemate Our Prized Jewel. This lightly raced daughter of Duke Of Marmalade has a record of four wins and two places from eight runs and we may not yet have seen the best of her.
Her only run in a feature came in the Grade 3 Diana Stakes over 1400m at Durbanville where she landed a wide draw and was coming back from a break. She found no betting support and did well to finish just 5.15 lengths behind the winner, Captain’s Ransom, who beat Clouds Unfold by 0.30 lengths.
While this was not a Grade 1 race, the first two are Grade 1 winners.
Crawford has said Our Prized Jewel is working well and Craig Zackey takes the ride.
