Hurry to support Ayr runner

In A Hurry was a beaten favourite on debut but did little wrong and can make amends in the Coral We're Here For It Restricted Maiden Stakes at Ayr on Monday.

David O'Meara's Time Test filly went off at 15-8 at Newcastle last June and was beaten just a length, looking like the run would bring her on bundles.

She was not seen again last year though, so she must have had an issue which kept her off the track for 10 months.

Due to make her return last week at Lingfield, she was a late non-runner but O'Meara is obviously keen to make up for lost time with her.

John and Sean Quinn's Red Mirage can make a winning return in the Coral Committed To Safer-Gambling Handicap.

Now seven, he has dropped to a very attractive mark, despite carrying joint top weight.

A winner off 77 at Catterick first time out last year, he was declared for the same race last week but missed out due to a stone bruise.

He was competitive off 80 at Chester in June but despite finishing third of nine on his penultimate outing, he gets to begin this season off 74.

Ivan Furtado's City Of Strangers made no mistake when bolting up at Redcar recently on her handicap debut.

Having won by five lengths looking a long way ahead of her opening mark of 55, it is no surprise to see her out again quickly under a penalty.

She should take all the beating in the Coral 'Confined' Handicap.

Rey De La Batalla can show the benefit of a month off in the Get The Inside Track With raceday-ready.com Handicap at Lingfield.

Simon Dow's four-year-old had been building up a really consistent profile before finishing sixth of eight at the end of March.

That was his sixth run since December though, so he was entitled to be feeling the effects, and Dow wisely gave him a break.

A track specialist, he is only 1lb higher than when beaten a neck by Bravo Zulu in February.

City Of Poets, James Tate's son of Ghaiyyath, can go one better than his promising second on debut at Thirsk when he runs in the Get Raceday Ready Maiden Stakes.

He was beaten by what looks an above-average type in James Ferguson's Montpellier and showed more than enough to be winning a race such as this.

John and Thady Gosden's Tycoon catches the eye in the Kovara Klassic Maiden Stakes at Windsor.

Entered in the Dante and Derby, he faced a very stiff task on his sole outing at two when third to Jonquil at Sandown.

That victor has since won the Greenham impressively and looks to be heading to the French Guineas.

Crepe Suzette also looks a likely type for the Gosdens in the Enjoy Summer Racing At Wolverhampton Racecourse Maiden Fillies' Stakes at Wolverhampton. - Press Association
