East Cape champion trainer Alan Greeff has a very good chance to hit the 100 mark at Tuesday’s Fairview Polytrack meeting.

He has already saddled 96 winners at Fairview this season and one at Kenilworth.

Greeff and champion jockey Richard Fourie form a formidable combination throughout the day of eight races but has no runner in the sixth race.

They look particularly strong in the first half of the meeting, which starts at 12:40 with a Maiden Juvenile Plate for fillies.

Greeff describes Arabian Blue as “a big runner” and the Heavenly Blue filly looks like a banker in the first leg of the Bipot.

The Place Accumulator starts with the second race at 13:15 and Greeff feels the filly Ono No Komachi “ticks all the boxes” for victory in this Maiden Plate over 2200m.

Pick Six players come into play with race three at 13:50. Greeff feels Duchess Of Seville is another “big runner” on the day.

She should fight it out with the consistent Miss Prior from the Gavin Smith stable with Craig Zackey in the saddle. Take the box Exacta.

The Smith-Zackey combination is also enjoying a wonderful Fairview season and will be in the mix again on Tuesday.

At the meeting last Friday Zackey became the second jockey to reach 50 winners in the Fairview season (Fourie on 84).

The first of the two Jackpots start in race four at 14:25. Greeff feels Sharapova has been unlucky not to win a race after joining his stable this season.

She started with two third places and followed that with two second spots for Greeff.

The trainer hopes luck will be on the five-year-old mare’s side this time.

Jackpot Two gets underway at 15:00.

It should be entertaining on a fast running track – as always, let’s give it a go!
