GREEFF CAN WIN AGAIN

February 2025

Henk Steenkamp

The Alan Greeff stable enjoyed a wonderful first half of the season and can start the second half on a winning note at Fairview on Tuesday afternoon.

Greeff looks strong throughout the day as usual but punters will be particularly interested in runners like Arabian Blue (race 1) and You Win Again (race 7).

Those two look hard to oppose with Richard Fourie in the saddle.

Arabian Blue should be a popular banker in the first leg of the Bipot and it might be worth taking a chance with You Win Again as a banker in the Pick Six.

The Place Accumulator starts with the second race and a Western Cape visitor is a possible banker.

It is unlikely that Sheets And Goggles will miss the first three in an Open Maiden for fillies and mares. Gareth Wright takes the ride for the Candice Bass-Robinson yard.

Little Lexi (Greeff & Fourie) is the danger and these two should fight it out for victory.

The Pick Six starts with an interesting first leg in race three, a Pinnacle Stakes for fillies and mares, over 2000m.

Greeff has a strong hand with Official Secret and Lady Silvano. It looks like a boat race between these two.

Igugulethu (Gavin Smith) is one for the short list on the day. He has a winning chance in the eighth and last race but, Greeff will again be a factor with Coastal Path.

The meeting starts at 12:25.
