GREEFF CAN BE TOPS

The powerful stables of trainers Alan Greeff and Gavin Smith are in great form and it should be more of the same at Friday’s Fairview meeting.

They dominated on the poly on Tuesday, saddling a treble apiece, and are ready to produce more winners on the turf this time.

Greeff looks particularly strong. The combination of Greeff and top jockey Richard Fourie should lead to the number one box.

The Master Of My Fate colt King Prawn can give Greeff a winning start when the meeting gets underway with a Maiden Juvenile Plate at 12:20.

It is the first leg of the Place Accumulator and the talk is that King Prawn could be a banker.

Cliff Top is an interesting Greeff runner in the second race, a Pinnacle Stakes over 1000m, at 12:55.

He hasn’t won in 490 days but showed signs recently that another win is on the cards.

Cliff Top has won three times, finished second twice and ran third twice from nine starts over this distance.

The three-year-old gelding Kingdundee has some class but hasn’t been seen for 28 weeks.

Smith runners usually don’t need the run but this is a long break. With Cliff Top unreliable, it is a bit of a tricky start to the Place Accumulator but these two should fight it out for the win.

The Trippi filly Original Copy could make a winning debut for the Greeff yard in race three, the first leg of the Pick Six, at 13:30.

Greenlight Legend (race 4) and Ignitethelight (race 7) are other massive Greeff runners.

It looks like another meeting to follow the Greeff stable – as always, let’s give it a go!
