Good Chilli to heat up Selangor racing

November 2024
Selangor racing continues on Saturday featuring a thrilling 7-race card with highly competitive action expected throughout the day.

Locally unbeaten five-year-old GOOD CHILLI looks set to continue his rich vein of form by securing a winning hat trick in the 1020m Class 5A contest at Kuala Lumpur.

Since arriving from Singapore as a 27-start maiden, GOOD CHILLI has made an immediate impact on the Malaysian circuit. The Tan Eng Peow-trained gelding has already notched two wins over Saturdays track and distance, starting with a narrow victory on 21 September.

After an even more decisive 1.25-length win on October 12, GOOD CHILLI appears to be thriving under new management, making him a strong contender to add another Class 5 victory to his record.

Nine-year-old galloper LIM'S CRAFT faces a weight rise but still looks ideally placed to secure back-to-back wins in the 1400m Class 4A event.

LIM'S CRAFT ended a 14-month winning drought with a commanding display of speed, leading throughout over 1400m to score by an impressive 6.25 lengths three weeks ago. This win came on the heels of his solid first-up second over 1200m on 22 September, where he was slightly unsettled in the barriers and slow to begin.

Carrying 59kg this time, LIM'S CRAFT's strong third-up recordfour wins from eight startspositions him well for another bold showing this weekend. - iRACE Magazine
