Five-year-old sprinter Goldentronicmighty looks well placed to return to the winner’s list when he lines up in the Class 3 Handicap over 1200m at Happy Valley on Wednesday.

After two unplaced efforts at his first two runs in Class 3, Goldentronicmighty has shown marked improvement of late, charging home for a solid second in his penultimate outing before finishing fourth at Sha Tin last time out. The son of Harry Angel has displayed versatility in his racing pattern, capable of settling on the speed or being ridden off the pace, as evidenced in those recent efforts.

Set to make his Happy Valley debut, Goldentronicmighty meets a more manageable field and appears well weighted to break through at this level. His main danger looks to be Perfect General, who led throughout to score last start and now seeks back-to-back victories despite a weight rise.

Impressive last-start winner, David Hayes-trained China Win looks well placed to continue his upward trajectory when he contests the Class 3 Handicap over 1800m.

After going down narrowly two starts ago, China Win made amends in emphatic fashion last time out, breaking through with a dominant victory at Sha Tin. Despite jumping from the widest draw, the son of Super Seth was patiently ridden off the speed before producing a sustained finishing burst in the straight, drawing clear in the closing stages to score by 2.50 lengths over the same trip.

While China Win steps up to Class 3 for the first time, he appears to have further improvement to come as a lightly raced four-year-old. With a favourable weight, he remains a strong winning chance. - iRACE Magazine

Setanta has regained form recently and is ideally weighted to make his presence felt. Matsu Victor better than his recent form suggests and looks capable of surprising at odds on his day.

Young Arrow has mixed his form this season and is worth considering if his odds offer value. Greater Bae endured a wide trip last start, and with a more economical run, he could finish in the money with Purton jumping aboard. My Day My Way the low draw and light weight are both positives, making a strong performance look imminent.
