Get a bit naughty at Scottsville

Hollywoodbets Scottsville is one of those courses horses either love or hate. Some top horses over the years have failed to run to their best at this course and one in particular that comes to mind is What A Winter.

After a couple of shockers at the course trainer Mike Bass opted to give the Grade 1 races at the Maritzburg course a miss. That, of course, suited racing fans on the Highveld as he instead chose to run the son of Western Winter in the Computaform Sprint, which he won.

One runner who does love Hollywoodbets Scottsville is Alittlebitnaughty, and she runs in Race 5 on Wednesday, a MR 82 Handicap over 1400m.

The five-year-old daughter of Duke Of Marmalade has run seven times at the course for two wins and three places. Two of them have been over 1400m and they have yielded a win and

a fourth place.

Trainer Gareth van Zyl took her to Cape Town for the season but her best performance was a second behind Desert Rose.

She was rested on her return to KwaZulu-Natal and made her comeback over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville in April, finishing fourth, and followed that up with a 2.85-length fifth behind Danse Milord at Hollywoodbets Greyville.

What is significant about those runs is she produced the fastest 400m to finish in both races. Her merit rating has dropped from 70 to 66, she comes into this race with just 52kg on her back, and she has the advantage of jumping from No 1 draw.

Jason Gates rode her in both of her last two starts and is back in the irons once again.

This is a competitive event and one is sure to get a decent price about her which will provide quite a bit of value for bettors.
