Flight Display ready to take off in KZN

Bettors are not faced with an easy card at Hollywoodbets Greyville on Wednesday but there could be at least one banker on the card in Flight Display, who lines up in Race 4, a Maiden Plate over 1900m for fillies and mares.

The three-year-old is a flashy chestnut filly who races for a stable in good form - that of trainer Mike Miller.

Miller has had a close association with the mare, Sleek Jet, as he has been involved in training the progeny of this mare for quite a while.

Flight Display is the first by Futura and hopefully that combination can bring about a really decent performer.

She has only raced four times and has got better with every start and with each increase in distance.

Her last race was over 1750m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville where she finished runner-up behind Princess Azariah. It is worth noting that she has produced the fastest 400m in her last three starts and the decision to move her up to 1900m looks ideal.

This will be her first run on the Polytrack but that should not be a concern. However, last time she hung outward in the straight and proved a handful for jockey Tristan Godden.

He now knows her better and should be able to keep her on a straighter course this time.
