Experienced juveniles to score in the Cape

Juveniles who have had at least one run generally have a massive advantage over the first-timers, and that could be the case at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth on Wednesday.

While there are a number of runners making their debuts in Races 1 and 2, both races could go to horses who have had at least one outing.

Gimmethegreenlight colt Go It Alone caught the eye when running on strongly to finish fourth on debut in a hot Maiden Juvenile Plate over 1200m and it should pay to follow his progress when returning to the scene of that promising introductory outing under Richard Fourie in Race 1.

This Justin Snaith-trained two-year-old is one of just three runners in the line-up to have raced and that experience should stand Go It Alone in good stead. He is worth a good Win bet and should get punters off to a good start.

Keagan de Melo partners promising juvenile Teflon Man in Race 2, another Maiden Juvenile Plate over 1200m. Dean Kannemeyer’s charge was beaten just 0.10 lengths on debut and then contested the Grade 3 Cape Of Good Hope Nursery where he finished 4.25 lengths behind Winter Cloud who on Sunday ran out a facile winner of the Grade 3 Strelitzia Stakes at Hollywoodbets Scottsville.

Back in maiden company Teflon Man will take some beating.
