Executor to get punters off the mark at Fairview

Punters are faced with a complicated card at Fairview of Friday when they race on the Polytrack but there is a chance of building up a kitty early in the day.

There was a lot to like about the debut run of Executor over 1300m at this course on 2 December. Going off at 5-2, this Alan Greeff-trained runner raced greenly and kept hanging, giving Muzi Yeni a difficult time.

Despite all this, the daughter of Canford Cliffs still managed to finish a two-length third behind Burning Moon, producing the fastest 400m to finish.

On Friday she lines up in Race 1, a Maiden Plate for fillies and mares over 1000m. The drop in distance should not pose too much of a problem for Executor as she will probably enjoy the faster early pace.

Despite her greenness last time, she still raced reasonably handily. She is will have improved for the experience and with a useful No 2 draw she will prove hard to beat.

Yeni has opted to ride at Hollywoodbets Greyville on Friday so he will not be at Fairview but Richard Fourie will be his replacement this time on Executor.
