FAIRY KNIGHT and Song Of Myself line up for a mouthwatering rematch in Friday’s feature race at the Fairview Turf track meeting.

They will meet in the R200 000 Non-Black Type Cradock Place Stakes over 1200m, a month after Song Of Myself was an impressive winner of the Speedsters Stakes over 1000m.

Fairy Knight finished in second place, 3.25 lengths behind Song Of Myself, on that occasion.

There was a huge weight difference of 10.5kgs in the Speedsters Stakes and Fairy Knight will appreciate that it will be down to 7kgs on Friday.

The five-year-old son of Global View will also find the extra 200m more to his liking.

The Alan Greeff stable feels Fairy Knight was a touch unlucky in his recent starts and is confident he will be a huge runner with Richard Fourie in the saddle.

There is also confidence in the Gavin Smith yard that Song Of Myself will run a big race. Yuzae Ramzan retains the ride.

That super win in the Speedsters Stakes showed that the daughter of Canford Cliffs is capable of bringing up a hat-trick of wins.

Although all eyes will be on these two runners, Royal Aussie (Justin Snaith) should give them a run for their money. He gets the blinkers fitted to sharpen him up.

Anuschka’s World (Kelly Mitchley) and Sweetie Darling (Juan Nel) have the form to be involved in the finish.

Gimme’s Laddie (Smith) and Dubai Hills (Greeff) could also be in the mix in what should be a really nice race.

The feature is race 7 on the card at 16:00.

There are also other races not to be missed and one of them is the Racehorse Owners Association Plate for three-year-olds over 1400m - race 6 at 15:25.

Anotherdanceforme makes her seasonal debut in this race after she was an impressive winner of the Grade 2 SplashOut Golden Slipper in July.

The classy daughter of Master Of My Fate should keep her unbeaten record intact after five victories as a two-year-old.

The meeting starts with the Work Riders Maiden Plate over 1200m at 12:30. With the tremendous support the amateur riders get in these races, it is always a great way to start a Fairview meeting.

It should be an interesting day’s racing and it looks like punters have a ready-made banker in Anotherdanceforme - as always, let’s give it a go!
