Trevor Reid: The Australian-bred Roy Had Enough has shown good promise since being equipped with blinkers and was always going to enjoy going over the longer distances.

So, it was not very surprising that he pulled off two victories in July, both over 1900m at Greyville.

The first was on the Polytrack, where Roy Had Enough finished two lengths ahead of Air Salute and followed up with a narrow but decent win over Opera Royal. It was a useful field he had behind him last time out and Roy Had Enough pulled very hard. Rider Anthony Delpech took up the running a long way out.

With Delpech missing from action, Sean Veale takes the ride at Greyville on Friday night. A light weight and a safe draw will make Roy Had Enough the one to beat.

There are some hard-knocking types opposing him but they will be giving him weight.

Warfarer gives the selection 5.50kg so it might be Rockefeller who could be the biggest threat.

Rockefeller clearly found the 1400m of his last run short of ideal and this Philanthropist gelding won a nice race in March beating Night Lock.

Earlier on the card there are a few runners who could be worth backing.

Dennis Drier has his yard in very good form so Draugluin in Race 1 could break out of the maiden ranks. Now wearing blinkers and jumping from the pole position draw Draugluin could be seen at his best. He is also trying the Polytrack for the first time.

Sire Gimmethegreenlight has had a cracking year and his daughter Green Ice can go close to winning Race 2.

Jockey Gunter Wrogemann is having his best season for many years and will get to ride Green Ice from starting stall No 1.

Another runner who looks a winner in waiting is Meet The Logans in Race 3. This Fort Wood filly is holding her form well enough and meets what looks like a very average field of contestants.

Do not forget that TAB and Betting World are in the middle of their 8 houses in 8 weeks competition so it is advisable to make use of that opportunity where a losing bet of R10 or more could win you a house.
