There is racing at Hollywoodbets Durbanville on Saturday and Jet Force takes a mighty drop in class when he lines up in Race 8, a Progress Plate over 1400m.
His last two runs were against some of the best in the land in the Grade 2 Green Point Stakes and Grade 1 L’Ormarins King’s Plate where the average merit ratings were 121 and 123 respectively. This time it is just 92 and Des McLachlan’s charge looks very hard to oppose, especially as he has won at this course.

This is a difficult card, but there are two runners who have proven themselves at this track, and that is always worth noting – William’s Woman in Race 6 and Country Time in Race 5.
Country Time has won four of her 40 starts, but it is her form this season and over this particular course and distance (Durbanville 1000m) that is noteworthy.
The six-year-old mare won in September and October over this track and trip and was narrowly touched off by Gravity last month, again over this 1000m. That was the first time jockey Craig Zackey had ridden her, so he should know how to get the best out of her now.
Apprentice Sfiso Bungane has ridden William’s Woman in all five of her starts so far, and the filly was a three-length winner over this course and distance in October. She did not show the same form when trying further in her last starts but returns to her best distance here and can bounce back to form.
