Dramatic Star can make the long journey from Newmarket worthwhile with victory in the Hamilton Park Maiden Stakes.
Trained by William Haggas, he has shown enough in his first two outings to suggest winning a race of this nature should prove a formality.
Third first time out at Windsor when looking in need of further, it was a little surprising to see him run over the same 10-furlong trip on his next outing.
Again he ran well but he had no answer close home to an expensive unbeaten rival, trained by the Gosdens.
Dramatic Star’s dam was a Group Three winner over a mile and three-quarters, so now he steps up in trip to nearly a mile and a half, this Sea The Stars colt should really come into his own.
It always takes an above average sort to defy a penalty in novice company and Charlie Johnston’s Bengurion did exactly that at Kempton.
Having won over six furlongs at Lingfield, he stepped up to seven at Kempton, beating Harvard Sound by half a length.
That form received a real boost when the runner-up came out and won by seven and a half lengths on his next start.
Bengurion starts life handicapping off a mark of 82 and can remain unbeaten in the Indigo Unified Comms Handicap.
Julie Camacho’s Winter Crown should be able to go one better than last time out in the Achieve More With Indigo Unified Comms Handicap.
The former Charlie Appleby-trained four-year-old is a consistent sort and only gave best to the classy veteran Dakota Gold at Redcar.
He goes on all types of ground, so whatever the weather does should not bother him.
Leuven Power could be the one to concentrate on in the Join Moulton Racing Syndicate Handicap at Yarmouth.
The fact that he remained with Roger Varian and in the King Power silks despite being off for over 600 days suggests connections think there are still races to be won with the five-year-old.
Not surprisingly, having been off for so long he was keen on his comeback at Redcar, but he stuck on gamely for fifth and should benefit from that outing.
Zilfee sticks out like a sore thumb ahead of the Unibet/EBF Maiden Fillies’ Stakes at Kempton
The Sea The Stars filly is out of the mare Concentric, who you may remember as the dame of a certain Enable.
That wonder mare was sired by Nathaniel but Zilfee should really possess a bit more pace, even though she has obviously been slow to come to hand.
The Gosdens and Kieran Shoemark could do with a nice boost heading into Royal Ascot and this filly may just be the one to provide it.
Paddy De Pole can make it four in row when he should be suited by the step up in trip in the Weatherbys Digital Solutions Handicap Hurdle at Fontwell.
