Mamelodi Sundowns are now three games away from equalling the South African record of 17 successive league wins. They have already set a new PSL record, extending it to 14 successive league victories on Saturday’s as they beat Sekhukhune United. Kaizer Chiefs’ all-time South African record of 17 successive victories was set in 1991 in the old National Soccer League. Sundowns’ next three league games are against Orlando Pirates on Saturday, then Stellenbosch in early March and Royal AM on March 18.
