Direct Hit should keep her unbeaten record intact in the R175 000 Listed East Cape Nursery at Fairview on Good Friday.

The daughter of Canford Cliffs made an impressive winning debut at Fairview in January.

She followed it up with her victory in the Grade 3 SplashOut Cape Of Good Hope Nursery at Kenilworth in February.

She looks too classy for the other two-year-olds and should win again over 1200m for the Alan Greeff stable.

Eight runners, five of them fillies, will face the starter at 16:10. Greeff will saddle half of the field in Friday’s feature, the eighth of the nine races.

Improvement can be expected from the other runners but it would be a massive surprise if Direct Hit gets beaten.

Instaworthy, Fiery Countess, King Prawn and Silva City should fight it out for the places.

The Greeff yard is set to start the Good Friday meeting on a winning note. Augusta Rosso looks hard to beat in the first race, off at 12:05.

The Bipot starts with the second race at 12:40 and the Place Accumulator gets underway in the third race at 13:15.

Greeff also looks strong in the first leg of the Place Accumulator where Lady Silvano can make it back to back victories.

Pick Six players get involved from race four at 13:50 and Direct Hit will be a popular banker.

The meeting closes with an interesting Pinnacle Stakes for fillies and mares over 1200m.

Three Rocks and Gocekwithlove give Greeff a strong hand yet again but Gimme’s Lassie (Smith) and Red Sash (Tara Laing) should give them a run for their money.

As always, let’s give it a go!
