RIVERSTOWN

There has been betting support for Cornish Pomodoro who has shortened from 7-1 into 11-2 outright favourite for this year’s Peermont Emperors Palace Charity Mile over 1600m at Turffontein on Saturday.

The gelding is one of four runners from the Sean Tarry yard and is the mount of Lyle Hewitson.

Riverstown from the Paul Peter yard, who will be ridden by Piere Strydom, and Crown Towers who is trained by Justin Snaith at their KwaZulu-Natal yard and will have Grant van Niekerk in the irons, remain firm at 13-2.
