Chairmanfourtimes to take Ayr honours

Chairmanfourtimes has shown enough in two starts to date to suggest he can get his head in front in something like the Ayrshire Cancer Support EBF Maiden Stakes on Sunday at Ayr.

A son of Clive Cox's shock Coventry Stakes winner Nando Parrado, Adrian Keatley's charge had the misfortune to bump into Ameeq first time out at Nottingham at the beginning of the month.

Ameeq had the benefit of a prior run and subsequently confirmed himself useful in taking fourth in the Norfolk Stakes at the Royal meeting. Chairmanfourtimes, meanwhile, went to Chester, where he again found an above-average type - in this case Calico Blue - preventing him getting his head in front.

He will surely be very unlucky to meet another good one at the third attempt.

Woohoo has been a revelation since joining Jim Goldie and can back up a recent course win by way of the Hadley's Nursery Run Amateur Jockeys' Handicap.

That victory was over 1200m, but the bang-in-form four-year-old filly is equally as effective over the minimum trip.

Theoryofeverything can make a bold fist of defying top-weight in the Summer Mile Handicap for David O'Meara.

He returned to the track in May at Haydock, finishing a promising fourth on his first run for 211 days having undergone wind surgery over the winter.

Magellan Cloud would not be winning out of turn if he can get his head in front in the N-Trance@Sounds Of Summer Racenight Handicap.

His penultimate run was an unlucky one at Chester and he did not fare much better back at the Roodee after that, racing far too wide on the turn and finishing up third.

A mark of 81 is obviously not beyond him judged on all that.

One-time Classic hope Reach For The Moon is given another chance to prove his worth over obstacles in the Dino Day Charity Umbrellas Handicap Hurdle at Market Rasen.

It is a few years since the Sea The Stars gelding was being touted as a potential Derby contender and dreams of Epsom glory for the late Queen ultimately failed to come to fruition.

After losing his way on the Flat, he switched codes and joined Jamie Snowden and while his jumping career got off to a fairly inauspicious start, he has managed to win a couple of minor races and he should strip fitter for his return from eight months off the track at this venue last month.

A falling mark of 110 has allowed him to slot in at the top of this field and it will be disappointing if he is unable to make his presence felt in a first time tongue-tie.

There are some familiar names on show in the Duckworths Land Rover Dash Handicap Chase and the vote goes to the Fergal O'Brien-trained Pull Again Green.

Rated in the high-130s at his peak, the nine-year-old disappointed at Doncaster in December, Kelso in March and Uttoxeter in May, but bounced back with a clear-cut victory at Worcester last month.

With confidence buoyed, he remains feasibly handicapped off 130 and should go well again. - Press Association
