The rescheduled Flamboyant Stakes (Grade 3) over 1600m, heads up a 10-race card at Hollywoodbets Greyville on New Year’s Day and it could provide bettors with the standout bet of the meeting.

Grade 1 winning juvenile, now three years old, Canadian Summer, is predicted to make even further improvement and should prove too good could for Sound Of Warning.

It is quite an interesting matchup as Sound Of Warning is best weighted by 6kg but Canadian Summer won the Thekwini Stakes as a juvenile over this course and distance, so she is proven. Add to that a smashing run in her comeback when second to top KwaZulu-Natal-trained colt See It Again, giving him 1.5kg, and the hardy Oratorio filly looks a very hard nut to crack.
