TAB and TAB Gold customers get yet another opportunity to bet into the Hong Kong Jockey Club’s World Pool tote this Saturday, but those wanting to do so will have to make an early start to the day.
This time round the World Pool tote will operate betting pools on the Queen Elizabeth Stakes meeting at Randwick Racecourse in Sydney and the fixture has the makings of a bumper day.
TAB will operate betting pools on Races 3 to 10, which comprise four Grade 1 contests and three Grade 2 events, with the first of these seven races scheduled at 04:55.
Win, Place and Trifecta bets will be commingled through Tabcorp into the Hong Kong pools, while Exactas, Rolling Doubles and a Jackpot on the last four races will be commingled with Tabcorp as normal.
Via Sistina, an unlucky second behind King of Steel in the Group 1 Champion Stakes at Ascot in England last October, is hot favourite for the weight-for-age Queen Elizabeth Stakes over 2000m. She made a winning debut in Australia last month and will be ridden by champion jockey James McDonald.
